Abandon Screens for Fun Summer Entertainment

Abandon Screens for Fun Summer Entertainment

What would our fun summer entertainment look like without screens? No flat pixilated electronic images for the family’s attention and amusement to play with. Yikes! You may just have to get the whole family out of the house and inflict some ‘free range’ fun for all the children, big and small. You could keep it close to home right in your own yard, maybe muster up some imaginative waterpark fun with the garden hose on a hot day, create your own slip-and-slide or even partake in a water balloon fight.

You may decide to collect your brood and head to a local park or conservation area for a delightful afternoon picnic and some outdoor activities such as frizzbee, badminton or catch. Possibly even rally up a spontaneous team and make your way to a baseball diamond for an impromptu game of softball with family and friends. There’s so much to do and experience when attention is diverted away from the screens in our lives this summer.

Live Performance to Share with the Entire Family

When you want to peel all eyes off of the screens and insert a spark of exhilaration, providing your family with a live performance is a wonderful way to enrich your fun summer activities and entertainment this year. One of the best experiences for a child of any age is that of the Royal Canadian Circus. Live performances offer the senses with a robust experience that screens are just incapable of providing. There’s no better entertaining impact than the circus for all its thrills, chills, excitement and laughs available to the entire family to enjoy and reminisce about for years to come. Especially wonderful when generations within a family are gifted the opportunity to share in the exciting occurrence together, as there is something for everyone under Canada’s largest big top summer event, and the conversations will linger on in the car ride home and far beyond.

We Won’t Go We Just Grow

Indeed the circus is a seasonal event, and one not to be missed if you seek to provide your entire family with the gift of live electrifying entertainment not soon to be forgotten. Not many people ever get the opportunity to enjoy a circus performance, and it seems that with the global onslaught of screens voluntarily occupying attention, more circuses are closing and more live performances of all types are fading away as the audiences are just so glued to their devices and electronic displays. Rest assured, the Royal Canadian Circus isn’t fading away at all; in fact we’re growing each year, introducing new acts and talents for all audiences to take pleasure in witnessing. We’ve been touring this great country for over fifty years and during that time much as changed. Our circus family has evolved with the times, each decade manifesting a noticeable difference in the types of acts performed under our grand big top. Greater human talent and skill is evident today more than ever before in our circus family, and performers thrive on the exciting energy they derive from each audience.

Create Circus Stories for When the Power Goes Out

Should the power ever go out in your house causing all screens to fade to black and everyone scrambling to combat boredom, you can pull out of your shared-memories-pocket the tales of your circus experience and together relive the day you gifted the children with a most awesome performance. Fun summer activities are best when shared with those we love, and experiences together can linger on in fond recollections. Grandparents and children alike just light up when they recall their excitement, especially of their most favourite acts – everyone has a favourite! From high flying acrobats and aerial artists to those silly crazy clowns tumbling under the traditional big top, there’s something for each child of every age that finds a special place in their heart-mind at the circus. Power still out…?! Grab the pencil crayons and some paper to let creativity flow in drawings made by the family depicting their shared circus experience. For the cost of tickets, you can stretch out a memory experienced together into the next generation of your family!
