Our Circus Family Will Not Allow Animal Abuse or Cruelty

Going to the circus with the family is a great Canadian tradition that children and families have been enjoying for generations. The thrilling shows, the talented performers and the excitement that fills the big top will all combine to make what is known as the greatest big top show on earth. At the Royal Canadian Circus, we are offering amazing shows this summer and fall in Red Deer, Calgary and Alberta that will leave you wanting more. Our show is made for children and adults alike – the thrills and excitement are the same no matter what your age.

The Royal Canadian Circus speaks out regularly against animal abuse and cruelty. Our circus family adopts a zero tolerance policy to ensure the safety and comfort of our animal performers and without exception treat them with respect, dignity and love. Trainers use positive reinforcement and rewards to reinforce the strong bonds between animal and trainer and to promote learning new skills. A trusting relationship between animal and trainer exists and is evident in the show as well as in training.

Our top priority at the Royal Canadian Circus is our performers. Our performers are what make our show and they are all treated with respect. Our show relies on the health, well-being and happiness of our performers, and we would not want it any other way. From our acrobats and clowns, to our elegant elephants and big cats, each person and animal is cared for and encouraged to perform to the best of their ability. Together we are a family and each member is important to the whole.

The Royal Canadian Circus will not tolerate any form of animal abuse or cruelty and will take a stand as necessary against it. Our policy is firm and there are no exceptions. We want our audiences to enjoy their circus experience and take home memories that will last a lifetime. To achieve that end, we ensure all of our animal performers are in peak physical and mental health and are treated with the love and respect they deserve. Come enjoy one of our shows at the Royal Canadian Circus, and watch with the confidence that our animal performers are well taken care of.
