With the troupes’ opening salvo taking place in Surrey, British Columbia at a sold-out Guildford Town Centre, the RCC has begun a summer-long tour that will take in a staggering 98 shows across the length and breadth of Canada.
So, if you’re in the market for family activities and entertainment to share with your son daughter or children of any age, you should look no further than the RCC. Here’s what you need to know:
The Details – The RCC Have Added New Shows Due to Rising Demand
As fun family activities go, the RCC can truly claim to offer something for everyone.
The 2018 tour itself will run from the opening night on May 17th in Surrey to 6th August in Oakville Ontario, although the RCC recently announced that they’ve scheduled additional shows throughout Eastern Ontario. This was due to an exceptionally high demand for tickets, with the troupe known as one of the very best in the entertainment business.
Also please note that the Royal Canadian Circus announced as of last year that exotic animals will no longer take part in their spectacular show.
As a result, the troupe’s legendary acts have strived to add even more thrilling and death-defying feats to their already extensive repertoire, so children of any age can look forward to a thrilling day out.
Who’s Headlining for the Royal Canadian Circus this Year?
As usual, this year’s event will be headlined by the ringmaster extraordinaire Joseph Dominic Bauer, who is a 9th generation daredevil with a penchant for the spectacular.
He’s earmarked to perform his world-famous Wheel of Death act this summer, closing a show that always leaves fans on the edge of their seats. Make no mistake; this years’ tour promises to be the most exciting and spellbinding yet, with a talented cast making it exceptionally likely that the RCC will improve on its impressive attendance figures from 2017.
So who else is set to perform in Spectac! 2018? Let’s start with the astounding four-person high-wire act Guerreros, who are led by the ultra-talented Aura and Werner. From Portugal, this troupe will execute unbelievable acrobatic manoeuvres and a host of daring stunts, with Aura performing stunning daredevil feats while also singing!
Then there’s the equestrian showcase led by S. Caleb Carinci-Asch, whose team of dazzling acrobats attempt complex and graceful acrobatic moves with breath-taking speed, all while riding atop a galloping horse. Film buffs may have seen them featured in the recent Hugh Jackman film The Greatest Showman, and this unique act will surely blow your mind away this summer.
With aerial strap performances by Martin Gonzales, the quick change act and the world champion Chinese acrobat’s troupe also on show, there’s definitely something to suit your son, daughter or child of any age.
You should look out for the phenomenal juggling act Tommy Tequila (Thomas Aguila), who is the world’s fastest juggler and currently holds the record for keeping nine ping-pong balls in the air with his mouth.
