August 12th show will help grant wishes for local children
The free show is part of seven amazing shows August 12th to 14th under the European Big Top that will showcase an internationally renowned cast coming from Kyrgyzstan to Cuba, Romania to Peru and Argentina, Brazil to Switzerland, and includes daredevils, acrobats, horsemen, aerialists, illusionists, hoopsters, clowns and more.
All proceeds from this show will go directly to Make-A-Wish Eastern Ontario to help grant magical wishes for local children with life-threatening medical conditions.
SPECTAC!TM will showcase an international cast including: the famed Flying Pages Trapeze, the Russian Swing, the death defying Wheel of Destiny with Joseph Bauer, the Acrobatic Arial Strap with Nathan Valencia, the Chinese Pole Acrobats, the Kambarov Equine Riders, the Bilea Quick Change Transformations Act, Hula Hoops, Argentinian Unicyclists and more.
“We’re very excited to have this partnership with the Royal Canadian Circus,” says Make-A-Wish Eastern Ontario CEO Tanya Desjardins. “It’s an honour that they’ve chosen to support Make-A-Wish and offer this special benefit show to raise funds for local wishes. The show will bring smiles to many children’s faces, not just the ones in the audience.”
Ringmaster, spokesman and daredevil Joseph Dominick Bauer, an eighth generation circus performer from Switzerland says, “I learned all the important lessons in life from proud and resilient circus people where family is first. We in turn are committed to doing the best we can to help Make-A-Wish Eastern Ontario while we’re here in Ottawa.”
The Royal Canadian Circus will set up at the R.C.G.T. all weekend; the fundraising will continue with on-site volunteers present to collect donations for Make-A-Wish Eastern Ontario.
