The Royal Canadian Circus Announces 25 New Shows in Red Deer and Calgary

The Royal Canadian Circus is coming to Calgary and Red Deer this spring. A total of 25 shows have been scheduled between May 9 and May 25, 2014.

CALGARY, April 28, 2014 /CNW/ – The Royal Canadian Circus is back with its 251 year tradition that features a mix of spectacular fun in a traditional circus big-top setting. A total of 25 shows have been scheduled between May 9 and May 25, 2014 in the Calgary and Red Deer, Alberta regions.

“With our passion & ingenuity, our extensive experience and colossal pool of talented artists and entertainers, we have everything it takes to create the most dazzling, fun-filled entertainment imaginable for the entire family” said Larry Solheim, Tour Manager.

For a child, nothing provokes wonder and excitement the same way as an old-fashioned, big-top circus. The Royal Canadian Circus features trapeze artists, acrobats, trained elephants, tigers, and strongmen. And of course don’t forget the clowns and jugglers that seem to come at you from yester year with good clean family fun for all. The Royal Canadian Circus is about giving children and adults alike a glimpse into another world; a world before the Internet and smart phones. A world where the entire family can enjoy a show together regardless of age.

“Without circuses, families would rarely be able to see exotic animals in an up-close environment,” added Producer, Tarzan Zerbini. “Circus animals act as ambassadors and educate their fans about their intellect, agility, strength, and personality.”

The Royal Canadian Circus makes a point of stressing their sensitivity to animal cruelty and considers animal welfare and safety a primary objective. Any cruelty to animals is strictly forbidden in the circus environment. “Animals are a large part of our show and they are treated with kindness, respect and dignity. Our animal handlers use humane methods of training and focus on positive reinforcement during practice and performances; regularly speaking out against animal abuse and cruelty” Mr.Solheim emphasises.
