The circus is coming, the circus is coming! The Royal Canadian Circus is rolling in to Calgary, Alberta on May 10th to astound and amaze Calgary families once again. Celebrating 250 years of the Zerbini family’s history under the big top, the 2013 show promises to be bigger and better than ever.
The Royal Canadian Circus is led by 70 year old Tarzan Zerbini who first entered the ring at the tender age of 3. Born into the Zerbini circus family, he spent his years in the circus becoming a world renowned cat trainer known for his respect and care of the beautiful animals he trained. Today, Tarzan Zerbini is one of the biggest circus producers in North America.
This year, Tarzan is excited to bring 14 exotic bengal tigers to Calgary under the training of Germany’s Judit and Jurgen Nerger. This will be the first time the Royal Canadian Circus has brought a cat act to Canada in 15 years. Using the same techniques that Tarzan developed in the 1970’s, they hold the cats under their command using only voice commands and body movements. “These powerful beautiful tigers trust us in the ring, but more importantly we trust and respect them,” says TZ.
Tigers aren’t the only act to look forward to in the line up! The Tarzan Zerbini performing elephants, the Liberty Equestrian Horses, trapeze artists, acrobats and classical clowns round out the acts in this family friendly, affordable entertainment extravaganza.
